A frequent question we get asked at DPN is – “Where does your funding come from?”

We are a part of several funding streams so that we can support and deliver digital training to as many people as possible. We do this by ensuring we have multiple diverse projects supporting a range of people across the South West of England.

Current projects

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK by investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
Developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, DPN are delivering Skills Bootcamps in partnership with Train 4 Tomorrow and Devon County Council.

Previous projects

Digital Boost Cornwall Logo
Digital Peninsula Network (DPN) and Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change (CN4C) are working in partnership to deliver a 3-year project, Digital Boost Cornwall. The project will provide individuals and businesses across West Cornwall with access to free digital skills training and support for job seeking as well as upskilling and hiring additional staff for businesses.
SPEEDYouUP project logo
The overall objective of this project is to reduce the number of early school leavers and NEETs by sharpening their motivation and entrepreneurial skills.
Boosting Careers with Digital Skills project logo
Boosting Careers with Digital Skills is a 3-year project providing free training in digital and basic skills to employees experiencing ‘in work poverty’ across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
ESF logo
ESF Employer Led Skills (ELS) project running from 2020-2023. The project aims to address skills gaps across priority sectors in Cornwall including digital, construction, health and social care, agri-food, hospitality, manufacturing, marine and retail. The project’s cross-sector approach will facilitate the upskilling and reskilling of 3,090 individuals in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, helping to improve employability and progress people in the digital sector and other growing industries.
ESF Business Clusters project logo
The ESF Business Clusters project, part-funded by the European Social Fund, will engage and support at least 605 SME and micro-businesses throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to identify skills gaps and facilitate creative training. The aim of the project is to deliver an employer-led approach to improve the labour market relevance of skills provision.

This project promotes a culture of lifelong learning, personal growth and development – specifically aimed at those experiencing limited progression opportunities or ‘in-work poverty’.
Grow Digital Cornwall logo
With the right digital skills, your business can grow and survive in the increasingly digital marketplace, Grow Digital Cornwall works with businesses to research, develp, and implement digital skills training best-suited to the employer's needs.
Progressing Business through Digital Skills project logo
Progressing Business through Digital Skills is a 3-year project focused on developing a digitally skilled workforce for small businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, part-funded by the European Social Fund.
Skill Support for the Workforce logo
Skill Support for the Workforce (SSW) is formed by 15 Local Enterprise Partnerships which expand over 9 individual regions within the UK. The programme is developed to upskill employees within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the South West.

Community development, social and economic inclusion and equality are at the heart of this research and innovation project, and our aim is to produce a scalable and transferable methodology that can be applied to broader demographic sets and geographical regions for continuing impact.
