Overview
This apprenticeship has been designed to meet the needs of employers to either up-skill the workforce or recruit new marketing-focused talent. This apprenticeship is ideally positioned for marketing staff looking to take on wider responsibility including planning and executing tactical and targeted marketing activity.
The Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship is portfolio-based with assignments and assessments at the end of the learning course.
Duration
12 months training – with additional time for the EPA.
Modules
The Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship consists of 10 key modules:
Marketing Concepts and Theories
The fundamentals of Marketing theory including the 7P’s.
Business Understanding and Commercial Awareness
Characteristics of planning and how marketing contributes to achieving wider business objectives.
Market Research
The principles of effective market research and how this can influence marketing activity.
Products & Channels
The features and benefits of different marketing communications channels and media (both digital and offline and how to develop products and portfolios.
Marketing Campaigns
Co-ordinate and maintain key marketing channels while delivering campaigns against SMART objectives.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Produce a wide range of creative and effective communications and developing the ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of clients / stakeholders.
Service Delivery
Using effective project and time management to deliver projects to deliver required outcomes.
Manage Budgets
Monitor project budgets within their scope of work using appropriate systems and controls.
Evaluation and Analysis
Analyse data and information from a range of sources to support marketing activities and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Systems and Processes
Effectively use appropriate business systems and software to deliver marketing outcomes efficiently, for example to analyse data, produce reports and web analytics.
End Point Assessment
Once all modules have been completed the apprentice need to complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) consisting of:
- Completing an online multiple-choice test
- Submitting a project showcase report
- Presenting their project showcase to the assessor
- Taking part in a question-and-answer session with the assessor
- Taking part in a professional discussion with the assessor.
Each element of the end point assessment is graded individually. An overall grade of pass, merit or distinction is determined by these results.
Employer Commitment
An employer must be prepared to provide the learner with the opportunity to carry out work and be part of projects which will enable the learner to produce substantial evidence towards their qualification.
What you will achieve
On successful completion of the programme the apprentice will gain a BCS Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is designed to meet the requirements for registration as an Affiliate Member with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
