The credit crunch is expected to narrow the number of IT contractor jobs only marginally, in the first months of the New Year. The dip is expected to be minor compared to that experienced in the first quarter of 2007, according to recruitment firm Hudson. Fears also remain that the credit squeeze will still lower demand for contractor services. However, contractors are not expected to be greatly affected by the dip, as they tend to be hired for a specific project, or a specific amount of time.
