Copyright squad' calls for file sharing crackdown

A group of representatives from UK media companies have called for the Government to set up an enforcement body to crack down on illegal file sharing over the Internet.

Representatives from Sony Pictures and Universal Music have urged Lord Carter, who releases his Digital Britain report in June, to bring in legislation that would force Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to collect data on people who repeatedly download music and films illegally.
