Business Link: Extra rights for online shoppers

E-Commerse has given many businesses the ability to reach more customers through selling online. However many online traders are unaware of the extra rights consumers have when buying remotely.

Online shopping regulation requires internet traders to allow consumers an unconditional right to return items without explanation within 7 working days, as well as to provide them with key contact details, such as an email address. These requirements also apply to all businesses, including those selling at a fixed price through online auctions.
