Business Link: £25 million Women's Enterprise fund launched

The Aspire Fund was launched at the Everywoman conference on Women's Enterprise day last month. The fund pledges to invest £25 million in women-led businesses.

The fund consists of over £12.5 million funding from the Department for Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform, which has been matched by a £12.5 million investment from the private sector. The Aspire fund was created to encourage women with businesses to seek appropriate equity finance and to also highlight current investment opportunities in businesses that are already women-led. The fund is aimed at high growth businesses that are seeking an investment of between £100,000 and £2 million to help financial growth. The fund can be accessed through Business Link and is managed by Capital for Enterprise Limited. The Aspire fund pursues the commitment made by the Governments Enterprise Strategy to provide additional support and to promote the development of women's enterprise.
If you are interested in applying for the funding please contact your local Business Link adviser. Please visit Business Link for more information.
