Deadline for applications: Tuesday 29th May 2007
They will be inviting national industry representatives to attend to find out more about all that Cornwall's media sector has to offer. In the evening after the screening, they will also be organising a further networking event with Top TV Academy.
Cornwall Film is offering up to 20 bursaries for Cornish media practitioners to attend the event. The bursaries will have a maximum value of £200 to cover the cost of travel. As this event also offers a chance to network with other local film-makers, they are hoping to organise for all Cornish representatives to travel up by train on Friday morning and to return on the sleeper on Friday night. If this is unavailable, it may be necessary to stay in London on the night of the 21st and/or 22nd and bursary recipients must be available to do so if required. The bursary would then also be used to cover accommodation costs.
Applications will be assessed on the likely benefit to you and your career/business of attending these events and networking with the wider industry (for instance, if you have taken a key role in a project to be screened, and meeting the wider sector will help progress your career). Cornwall Film will also assess you on how you will be able to spread this benefit of these links to the wider industry in Cornwall.
Give Cornwall Film a call if you have any questions. Application forms are available to download on the website at www.cornwallfilm.com
or call them if you would like a hard copy.
