A symposium at University of Exeter

An inter-disciplinary symposium at University of Exeter is aimed at exchanging ideas between researchers, academics and practitioners of film and digital media. The event sets out to expose and promote the diverse and dynamic film culture that exists in Exeter and across the South West, providing an opportunity to expand debates beyond the perceived 'Culture Capitals' of the UK. There will be discussion panels, screenings and exhibitions at the event which runs 21 and 22 April 2005.

Organisers are also calling for written papers or films relating to intersecting histories, models of spectatorship across diverse film media, new technologies and interfacing geographies. Entries need to be submitted by 31 January, contact Bridget Brichall for more information email: b.m.birchall@ex.ac.uk
