A chance to realise your dream

If you’ve got a great idea for a film, here’s your chance to get it turned into a reality. A live pitching event will be held at the 2004 Cornwall Film Festival in Falmouth from 12th – 14th November. If your treatment’s shortlisted, it’ll go before a panel of industry professionals and you could be awarded £5000 from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to help you get it made. As if that’s not enough, a week’s free camera and sound equipment hire, a week’s editing hire, a day in Troubador recording studio and free archive footage from the South West Film and Television Archive are also being thrown in for the winner.

You can discuss your ideas and get some tips and advice at an informal evening at Bar 200 in Truro on Tuesday 21st September. The deadline for applications (open to experienced film makers and beginners alike) is the 15th October. www.cornwall-film-festival.co.uk
