Are you or your employees eligible for free training?

Truro and Penwith Colleges have funding available for 20 people from ICT businesses to obtain free NVQ qualifications. The only restriction is that you must not currently have a degree. The qualifications are primarily assessed in the workplace, assessors are able to schedule meetings at a time and frequency that causes least disruption to your business.

Included within this provision are newly designed Management and Team Leading NVQs where students attend Institute of Leadership and Management Training courses in order to obtain the underpinning knowledge. During the course students are guided through the evidence they need to gather for their NVQ so that they normally only require two observations in the workplace following the course to obtain their NVQ. These courses last a maximum of 8 days and are spread 1 day every 2 weeks and all courses are available in Penwith and Truro.
As part of this funding you can also obtain the Foundation AAT accounting qualification. Other NVQs available include Sales, IT Practitioners and Customer Service.
All candidates must be signed up before the end of March.
