Adobe CS4 Software ITQ Level Two Course

This course will combine several modules which, studied together, will enable you not only to learn about Adobe software but also to gain an ITQ level two qualification. You will receive training in each piece of software and then have the opportunity to develop your skills, working on your own projects. Completed work will be collected in a portfolio and our Assessor will check the work and give you constructive feedback and the opportunity to improve it when necessary.

Tuesday 19th Jan - 16th March each Tuesday 9:30am - 3:30pm
Imaging Software:- Brush up your skills with Adobe Photoshop CS4. You will develop Digital Imaging skills, prepare and manipulate images according to context, combine information and understand appropriate file formats for designs and images. N.B. Please bring some images that you might want to use for practise or for your projects. A scanner is also available.

Design Software:- This is an opportunity to become familiar with Adobe Illustrator CS4 and to develop your own work related design skills. You will use these skills to create artwork for your work publications.
Desktop Publishing:- Use Adobe InDesign, a well known layout program commonly used by Graphic Design professionals. You will learn to produce leaflets, posters or flyers for your business. This will include layout of image and text and preparation of designs for print. You will combine work created in both Photoshop and Illustrator to produce a finished design.
Improving Productivity Using IT:- You will be required to plan, review and evaluate your work, considering the purpose of the work and the skills and resources needed to complete a task successfully.
On this course you will learn to integrate work between the three leading graphic design packages and to identify and use the appropriate software for a particular task.The course will be based at the DPN Centre, Breadstreet, Penzance.
